We have created this site to demonstrate to the children, parents and local community of Martlesham Heath all that we have done towards obtaining our Green flag status, Internationaly recognised. This site is contributed by the children at Birchwood school. They will share with you their ideas and demonstrate the process we have taken towards becoming an Eco-school. NEWS FLASH We have just received confirmation of 100% grant funding for our thermal Solar panels. We hope to have them installed during this summer!
Suffolk Greenest County Event FANTASTIC NEWS!! Birchwood Primary School has just been awarded Highly Commended in the ' Waste and Recycling' category at this years Suffolk Greenest County event. This is in recognition for all our hard work during 2008.

We have 208 children in our school, and 28 members of staff. This includes teaching staff, office staff, mid day supervisors, cooks and our caretaker.
